Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026. The short version: there are no accounts, no advertising profiles, and nothing personal is collected or sold. The tool stores the URLs you submit and the public crawl results, because those are the product.
1. What we store
- Submitted URLs and crawl results. Every URL you submit is fetched as a browser and as crawler bots; the status codes, timing, titles and body hashes are stored so the dashboard, CSV export and job detail views can work. This data is about the pages, not about you.
- Checker input, transiently. Text you paste into the rich-text analyzer is processed in your browser and in the request; it is not written to any database. Page checks fetch the URL you provide and analyse the response, which is not stored beyond the response itself.
- Admin settings and logs. The admin panel stores configuration (bots, timeouts, SEO overrides, SmartLink settings) and operational logs so the crawl pipeline can be managed.
2. What we do not collect
- No account system — there is nothing to sign up for and no email address is required from visitors.
- No personal profiles, no advertising identifiers, no selling or sharing of data with data brokers.
- No first-party tracking cookies. The site uses no cookies at all.
3. Local storage (your browser only)
Three values are kept in your browser's localStorage and never sent to a server:
- Theme preference (
fi-theme) — light or dark.
- SmartLink frequency cap (
fi-smartlink-log) — timestamps of popup ad opens in the last hour, used purely to enforce the maximum popups-per-hour limit. It contains no identifier.
- Admin token (
fi-admin-token) — stored only if you unlock the admin panel on this device.
4. Third parties
- Crawled websites. Submitting a URL causes our servers to fetch that URL — that is the core function. The target site's operator will see requests from our infrastructure, exactly as they see requests from any crawler.
- Google PageSpeed Insights. If you use the page checker, the URL you check is sent to Google's free public PageSpeed Insights API to obtain Lighthouse scores. Google processes that request under its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (optional). Analytics is loaded only if the site operator has configured a measurement ID in the admin panel. When active, it is loaded with IP anonymisation.
- SmartLink advertising (optional). If enabled by the operator, the first click anywhere on a page may open an advertiser's page in a background popup window (maximum 3 per hour per browser). We do not receive or store your personal data from that advertiser; the advertiser's own privacy policy applies once their page opens.
5. Data retention and deletion
Crawl jobs and logs remain until deleted — individual jobs or failed jobs can be removed from the admin panel at any time. If you operate a website that was crawled and want the stored result removed, email us with the URL and it will be deleted.
6. Security
Transport is HTTPS-only. The admin API is protected by a secret token that never appears in any page source; it is stored in this browser's local storage only after you enter it. There is no password database to leak.
7. Children
The service is a developer and marketer tool, not directed at children, and no knowingly-collected data of children is stored.
8. Changes
This policy may change as features are added; the "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
